Website Purchase Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 3 June 2026

These terms govern the purchase of a website from AJ Consulting, a trading name of AJ Tech Consulting Services Ltd (company number 17193930, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ; ICO registration ZC138626). By placing an order you agree to these terms. References to “we”/“us” mean AJ Tech Consulting Services Ltd; “you” means the customer.

1. What you’re buying

A professional one-page website, comprising design, build, registration of one domain name (first year), and the first three months of hosting and support. The standard price is £99; where a discounted launch offer (e.g. £79) is shown to you, that price applies to that order only. Additional pages are charged at £30 per page. All prices are in pounds sterling and, as we are not currently VAT-registered, are not subject to VAT.

2. Proof-of-concept drafts

We may prepare and show you a sample “proof of concept” draft website before you order, to illustrate what we could build for your business. Any such draft is a proposal for your consideration only. It is not your live website, is not published to the public, and confers no rights until you place an order and payment is received in full. Draft content is indicative and may be refined.

3. Payment

You may pay by debit/credit card through our payment provider (Stripe) at the time of ordering, or request an invoice to pay by bank transfer. Invoices are due within 14 days of issue.

Nothing goes live until payment is received. We do not register your domain, nor publish or make your website live, until payment has cleared in full. If you request an invoice and it remains unpaid beyond its due date, any preview/draft of your site may display a notice that payment is required, and the site will remain unpublished until the invoice is settled.

4. Your domain

Where a domain is registered as part of your order, it is registered in your name and you own it. The first year is included; thereafter it renews at the prevailing registry rate. Domain availability is subject to the registry; if your requested name is unavailable we will agree an alternative with you.

5. Hosting & support

Three months of hosting and support are included. From the fourth month, hosting is £10/month, billed separately; you may cancel at any time. You keep your site files either way — if you move elsewhere you would simply need to host them yourself or with another provider.

6. Drafts, revisions & timeline

We will show you a draft before anything goes live and make reasonable revisions until you are happy. Substantial rework after the build has started may affect the timeline; we will tell you in advance if so. Most sites go live within 14 days of payment, subject to receiving the information we need from you.

7. Intellectual property

On receipt of full payment, the rights to the bespoke website content we create for you transfer to you. Stock photography is supplied under the licence of its source (e.g. Pexels) and remains subject to that licence. You confirm that any content, logos or trade marks you provide are yours to use and do not infringe the rights of others.

8. Cancellation & refunds

If you are a consumer, you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days; where you ask us to begin work within that period, you may be charged for work reasonably done up to the point of cancellation. Once a site has been built and delivered, the fee is non-refundable. Please contact us if you have any concerns and we will deal with you fairly.

9. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate business information and to respond to our brief in good time. You are responsible for the lawfulness of content you ask us to publish and for complying with any regulations applicable to your business.

10. Liability

We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Data protection

We process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ZC138626).

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
