1. Agreement to Terms

These terms are between you and AJ Tech Consulting Services Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Companies House No. 17193930), with registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. AJ Consulting is a trading name of AJ Tech Consulting Services Ltd ("we", "us", "our").

By accessing or using any AJ Consulting service ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

These terms apply to all services operated under the aj-consulting.uk domain, including but not limited to jobs.cv-board.com, support.aj-consulting.uk, and cv.aj-consulting.uk. Where we agree a separate written contract or Statement of Work with you for a specific engagement, that document takes precedence over these terms if there is any conflict.

2. Description of Services

AJ Consulting provides various technology and consulting services including:

• Consulting: Technology consulting, advisory and delivery services
• Web Design: Website design, build, and portfolio services
• Job Search Automation: AI-powered CV tailoring and job matching services
• Technical Support: IT support services for individuals and businesses
• CV Hosting: Secure CV hosting with access controls
• Tutoring: Tutoring and educational services
• Document E-Signature: Preparing and sending documents for electronic signature

3. How Engagements Work (Terms of Business)

For consulting, web design and similar project work, this is how we normally engage:

• Proposal: we set out what we understand you need, what we will deliver, the price and the timescale in a written proposal or quote. Work begins once you accept it.
• Statement of Work: for larger or ongoing work we agree a Statement of Work (SoW) that records the scope, deliverables, milestones and fees. Anything outside the agreed scope is treated as a change and is quoted separately before we do it.
• Data processing agreement: where an engagement means we process personal data on your behalf, we will put a data processing agreement (DPA) in place so that you remain the controller and we act as your processor under UK GDPR.
• Test first: we develop and test changes in a test or staging environment before anything reaches a live system, so you can see the change working first.
• Your sign-off before we go live: we do not deploy changes to your live or production systems without your approval. Going live is your decision, taken after you have reviewed the tested work.

4. User Accounts

Where account registration is required, you must:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Not share your account with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Payment Terms

• Prices are displayed or quoted in GBP (British Pounds) unless otherwise stated
• We are not currently VAT-registered, so no VAT is charged
• Online payments are processed securely through our payment provider (Stripe)
• For project and consulting work, our invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice (14 days unless we agree otherwise in writing)
• We may ask for a deposit or stage payments before or during larger pieces of work
• Subscription services are billed according to the plan selected, and you may cancel at any time through your account settings
• Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to our services, including CVs, documents, and personal information. By submitting content, you grant us a licence to:

• Store and process your content to provide the Service
• Use AI systems to process your content where applicable, as described in our Privacy Policy
• Generate derivative materials (for example tailored CVs) on your behalf

You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide and that such content does not violate any third-party rights.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Attempt to bypass security measures
• Use automated systems to access the Service (except as intended)
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications

8. AI-Generated Content

• AI-generated content should be reviewed before use
• You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of AI outputs
• We do not guarantee the suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose
• AI outputs may require editing or refinement

How we use AI, and how any personal data involved is handled, is set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and content (excluding user-submitted content), is owned by AJ Tech Consulting Services Ltd and protected by intellectual property laws.

For bespoke deliverables produced under a paid engagement, ownership or licence of the final delivered work is dealt with in the relevant proposal or Statement of Work. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, ownership of a bespoke deliverable passes to you once it has been paid for in full, while we retain ownership of our pre-existing tools, libraries and know-how used to produce it.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our Service without permission.

10. Confidentiality

During an engagement each of us may learn information the other treats as confidential, including business plans, systems details, credentials and personal data. We each agree to keep the other's confidential information confidential, to use it only for the purpose of the engagement, and to protect it with reasonable care. This does not apply to information that is already public through no fault of ours, or that we are required to disclose by law. This obligation continues after the engagement ends. Where the confidential information includes personal data, our Privacy Policy and any data processing agreement also apply.

11. Data Protection and Privacy

How we collect and use personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Where we process personal data on your behalf as part of an engagement, we do so under a data processing agreement, with you as controller and us as processor.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee:

• That the Service will meet your specific requirements
• That you will achieve particular results (for example job interviews)
• That the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The accuracy or completeness of any information provided

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AJ Tech Consulting Services Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Costs of procurement of substitute services
• Any matter beyond our reasonable control

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AJ Tech Consulting Services Ltd from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will be revoked
• You may request a copy of your data before deletion
• Your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy

Either of us may end an engagement in line with any notice period agreed in the proposal or Statement of Work. On ending an engagement, you pay for work done up to that point, and we hand over any deliverables you have paid for.

17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

18. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
